Interesting that “Aliens” is listed but not “Alien.” Oh wait, it’s a list of movies from the last 25 years. Never mind. Like Adam, I’m also surprised that “The Princess Bride” is left out of this list. And “The Shawshank Redemption.” Seriously? How can you leave out the “Redemption?”

4 out of the 5 movies that you didn’t like are some of my favorites on the whole list. Especially “Dazed and Confused”. Love that film!

I’ve seen all of them except for maybe 5 or 6, and the only one I really disliked is “There Will Be Blood”.

You didn’t like Fight Club? Did you get it? Have you ever read the book?

Dude, go out and rent Y Tu Mamá También, very hot sex scenes!! Also, I am with you on Shawshank. That is one of my all time favorites and to leave it out, but put a number of those ‘Dogs’ on the list is just wrong!

I’ll bet you didn’t like Fight Club for the same reason I didn’t… I figured it out way before the end and after that the fighting just seemed booooring. And the movie I think should be on there is Heat. Gawd, I love that movie.

You really didn’t like “The Talented Mr. Ripley”? I didn’t like it the first time I saw it (in theaters), but I watched it again when it was released on DVD, and I thought it was brilliant.

As you know from posts of my own, I’m right there with you on There’s Something About Mary. So’s Katie. So we’ll be the three-man minority.

B.E. Earl – well, to each his own. I don’t fault anyone for liking them. Just don’t get the fascination with some of those films.

Elfenkate – Some people don’t like a lot of movies I like, so it all equals out in the end.

Avitable – Yeah, I got it. And no, haven’t read the book, but I’d be willing to.

Patty – I like the actors, too. I can’t fault the acting at all. I just thought that it was so-so.

James – Agreed. I’ll have to check out the Tambien movie. Hot sex and I get along great. Well, not lately, but in theory.

Lynne – Yeah, it was a mindfuck, but I didn’t think it was enough of a mindfuck to carry an entire feature length film.

Winter – I can’t say I figured it out ahead of time. But when the “twist” came I was thinking, “Really? That’s it?”

akeorlando – Blecch. I wouldn’t watch that movie again if you paid me. Well, wait…how much would you pay me?

Kapgar – I often am disappointed by movies that people rave on and on about. Donnie Darko is another case in point. I just felt “meh” about it.
