Happy Birthday to one of my great buds, Sybil Law. I hope today brings her lots of gumdrops and gingerbread, maybe some Dave Grohl. Sybil was supposed to be my guest on 2HRadio the other night, but there were technical difficulties, so we had to reschedule. Have a great day, my friend. I’ll be sure to drink one in your honor tonight.

For weeks now, the damn anhedonia has been maddening. Nothing seems to make a dent. When everything you enjoy doing is unenjoyable, believe me, it’s disheartening, to say the least. I’m hoping to kick the anhedonia in the balls tonight.

Tonight, I go to see OK Go. You know, the guys that did the video on the treadmill, plus that other video with the giant Rube Goldberg device? Yeah, them. They don’t like people embedding their videos, apparently, which is insane. I’m really digging the new album. One of my faves is WTF.

I managed to pull this classic Dancing in my Boxers video from my hat (or my Youtube account), which is me dancing to one of their many great songs. Be sure you eat before you watch. It IS me dancing, after all.

If this concert doesn’t work and snap me out of it – at least, temporarily – I’m gonna be highly upset.

UPDATE: I’m highly upset. No concert tonight. My car died. Won’t start even with jumper cables. Grr.

Thanks to Lynda and Karen for amazing posts this week, though I think Karen is really pressuring me with unrealistic expectations regarding me wearing clothes the whole time I’m in Chicago. More guest bloggers galore tomorrow through Saturday, then I’ll actually attempt to write something cohesive for Sunday. That’ll be a switch.

It shouldn’t come as any great surprise that I have yet to start laundry or packing for BlogHer tomorrow. I leave Orlando at 9am, which means I need to be at the airport by 7, which means I need to leave my house by 5. IN THE MORNING.

Any of my BlogHer buds that don’t have my cell, feel free to email me and I’ll gladly provide it. Can’t wait to see you all and hug you and have your boobies touch my boobies.

For those that are NOT going, I’ll be Tweeting my ass off and uploading photos throughout the weekend – including my T-Shirt Of the Day, but won’t likely find much time to read Twitter myself. So don’t feel bad if I don’t reply to your @’s on Twitter for the next 3 or 4 days.

Things I Hope Will Happen at BlogHer 2009

1. All the women will be wearing either tight Pirate Wench outfits or French Maid uniforms. And wearing pigtails.
2. I will offend approximately 10-20% of the women there, but have the remaining 1,000 women fall in love with me.
3. Avitable’s nutsack will remain covered the entire weekend.
4. Every woman there will ask me to be the photographer for their special BlogHer HNT photos.
5. The Internet connectivity will work flawlessly the entire time I’m in Chicago.
6. Dooce will seek me out, sit on my lap, and tell me how much my blog turns her on.
7. There will be seminars entitled “Tits: A Retrospective” and “Getting the Most From Your Vagina.” Though, for some reason, they’re not showing up on the BlogHer agenda yet.
8. Streaming webcam feeds at the Breastfeeding Station.
9. 500 women will want to do a giant Dancing In My Boxers video with me.
10. Sarah will beg me to do a tasteful nude photography session with her.
11. At least one catfight will break out during a seminar, complete with scratching and hairpulling and buckets of water being thrown at one another and maybe some mud wrestling.

Things That Will Most Likely REALLY Happen at BlogHer 2009

1. All the women will be wearing incredibly cute LBD’s with Spanx, but they’ll ACT like Pirate Wenches.
2. I will offend 10-20% of the women there, 900 others won’t even glance my way, but 30-40 of them will fall in love with me. And I with them.
3. Avitable’s nutsack will make many cameos, only to be followed by another Avitaball Rolling campaign. This is why it’s crucial you never click on a link in any of Adam’s tweets.
4. Every woman there will taser me when I ask to take pictures of them for HNT.
5. The Internet connectivity will work most of the time, but will be crawling a lot, too.
6. Dooce will never even be in the same room with me, let alone actually speak to me, let alone actually have even heard of me.
7. There will be seminars called “Tits: A Retrospective” and “Getting the Most From Your Vagina,” but there will be biometric scanners to gain admittance and as soon as I place my palm against the hand scanners, alarms will sound and a steel cage will drop down around me from the ceiling.
8. Someone will find my hidden webcams at the Breastfeeding Station and disable them within 90 seconds of me installing them.
9. Three incredibly drunk bloggers will film a Dancing In My Boxers video with me. Unfortunately, they’ll probably be Whit, Neil, and Brian.
10. Sarah won’t let me see her boobies live, nor will she have any desire to see mine, let alone photograph them.
11. There will be loads of drama. Several heated debates during sessions. Catty shit-talking about bloggers when those bloggers aren’t within earshot. But sadly, no wet t-shirt contests or actual hairpulling.

I feel I really need a pick-me-up. I was going to wait to do this until the new design/site rolls out (more about that below if you’re really bored), but I really couldn’t make it until then.

When you’re feeling down, sometimes you really, really need to dance. BTW, fuck you, depression. You suck.

LATEST DESIGN UPDATE: The new version of Wordpress has been installed – can’t believe I’m jumping the Typepad ship. Design should be done early next week. Need to import all my posts and comments from here to there. Then I need to forward the domain over, that’ll take a day or two, probably. I’m opting on the side of caution here and saying it’ll be up and running by month’s end. Silly Karen decided that she needs to do Eastery things with her family, so she can’t wrap up her brilliance until after Easter. Some priorities SHE has.

TEQUILACON UPDATE: I totally need a roommate for Philly’s big event May 3. Don’t think I can afford to go otherwise. Let me know if you’re going and don’t mind being naked whenever you’re in the room.

RADIO NEWS: This Sunday it’s SecondHand Radio. Yep, it’s Easter, I know. But I wasn’t rescheduling on Whit again. That’s right, the amazing Whit Honea will be my guest on Sunday’s show. I’m sure he’ll be able to regale us with stories of Easter egg hunts and kids puking from too much chocolate. He’s also a huge gossip, so we can get all the latest dirt on all those people I don’t give a fuck about.

Of course my Mom tells me yesterday that we’re supposed to go to our friends’ house for Easter supper at 5pm. I pulled a total Hollywood moment: "Mom, 5 o’clock is when my show is!"

"What show?"

"My radio show!" Um, hello? Do you not even love me? How can you not know about that when you read my blog?

I’m taking one for the team, though. We’ll be on.

But even then, the friends live like 20 minutes away, so I’d have maybe 15 minutes to eat so I could head back. Then again, I suppose I don’t HAVE to be at my computer for that, though I do want to hang in the chatroom. I may just hang here and have Mom bring me a plate. Yum, ham. Sorry, Dave. And Jews.

I’ve actually only heard Fab’s show a couple of times and it gets really wild over there. I’m not sure I’m up to it, but fuck it. If you’re gonna hang with the big guys (Dave, Kevin, Hilly) you’ve gotta put yourself out there.

Naturally, I fully expect that you’ll be present for both shows. You know, unless you’re my Mom, who doesn’t give a shit.

Hi, Black Belt Mama here.  I’m the gal who issued the Public “Buttons” Birthday challenge to Karl.  Boo, hiss, I know, I know.  After the fact I felt pretty badly about the length of the song, the public humiliation. . . but if Karl chose my challenge it must have been because no one else submitted anything even slightly better than being asked to gyrate around in public.  And if Karl still loves me (Exhibit A: me posting here today) then you should too. . .

I must admit that I’m slightly highly supremely annoyed that Karl has been off cavorting with some Canadian chick.   ”Just a friend,” hmph.  I’m not buying that.  And what’s up with this whole Supa’ Summa of Lovin’???  As a Karl-crush I was hoping for a little exclusivity, you know?  But here I am, one of a gazillion gals that Karl’s crushing on.  Maybe all the other women feel flattered about being included in this female frenzy, but I’m thinking that I’m going to kick some holes in his walls or something.

Here’s a little something I prepared just for you Karl.  Because I thought I was the only one. . .

In case you’re wondering, we filmed this on a Sunday in the middle of the afternoon, when all my neighbors were home.  I’m thinking we’re almost even on the public humiliation scale now.  And just so you know, R & B is much more my style.  I really went outside my comfort zone here, but it’s all for Karl so it was worth it.
