Long time, no hear, eh? Yes, I’m still around. No, I’m not on track with my time yet. By the time midnight rolls around each night, I’m whupped and drained and don’t even feel like blogging most of the time. Need to get a handle on that.

Today is a big day. I say goodbye to my old Tivo and make way for the world of High Def! That means a new DVR, which also means I’m about out of time to watch the tons of shit on my Tivo. Guess I’ll be downloading the rest of the stuff I need.

I carefully steered clear of seeing HD for a long time because I knew that once I saw it, I’d want it. Well, the jig was up last year when I really got a lot of close and personal time with HD at Hilly’s…and even more so this year during Karlifornication. Our TV is a big one, as I said in my video blog the other day…60 inches. So not having HD is kind of silly in this day and age, especially since the TV is HD compatible.

As it turns out, the monthly bill for DirecTV won’t be all that different. Can’t wait. The guy is supposed to be here between noon and 4pm. I’m guessing he’ll show at 3:59. Bets?

I only got 3 hours of sleep last night…er, this morning, so this ought to be interesting.

Tonight, my guest on SecondHand Radio is none other than Kevin Apgar of Kapgar. You know him, you love him, and now you’ll get to hear him for a full hour. Tune in, join the chatroom, call in and say hi…ask questions. Everyone is welcome to call in. Even you.

I know it’s at the same time as the “Life on Mars” premiere (can’t wait for that) but hey, that’s what Tivo is for. Besides, I know you want to fast forward through the commercials. So hold off for an hour and watch it at 11, just like I’ll be doing.

No SecondHand Radio tonight because of the Vice Presidential Debate. I doubt many of you would show up. Hell, I don’t want to because I’ll be glued to my TV. There’s bound to be more entertainment in that 90-minute debate than I could ever dream up. I hope Sarah Palin shows me something more than I’ve seen in her interviews with CBS and ABC.

I’ll be back next Thursday night at 10pm, and my guest will be Kevin Apgar from Kapgar. See me then.
