Karl-I think the definition of a true friend is the one that walks toward you when every one else is walking away.
What you did for Lisa was true and brave and hard. Something we hope we never have to do.
Thank you for keeping us updated. I have been saying prayers for her family.
I knew it was coming and I still can barely catch my breath through tears. What a great photo and memories you can hold onto forever. Huge hugs to you and everyone else.
I wish there were words or some great perils of wisdom to offer.
I’m sorry for your loss Karl. It makes me sad but I also know the suffering and pain and that’s the only thing that helps knowing she is in a better place..I know it is what it is but dang it.Your in my thoughts.
Karl, I know you hate death and everything about it. But I wanted to thank you for putting aside your personal aversion for the sake of keeping us all informed on Lisa’s ongoing fight when she could no longer do so on her own.
Karl – I am so terribly saddened that you lost your dear friend Lisa – you (and Lisa’s family) now have a new angel in Heaven looking out for you.
That being said I know how hard this is for you and want you to know I continue to pray for you daily.
Hugs
I am so sorry for the loss, but believe all the people who’ve talked about the relief from pain. Sending profound wishes for healing for Lisa’s family and friends.
Karl… what do you think of having a million photos of Lisa on her web site… anything you can get your hands on… baby, toddler, teen, marriage, babies, life of Lisa…????
Karl…
All day thinking of Lisa. Her Dad posted a beautiful thing about ships. My husband put on the coolest of music mixes for me…oddly, he loves covers of his favorite songs…I heard four renditions of “Wild horses” and I just cried every time. And i cooked my sorry ass off as if that was going to make a difference. Every song seemed to have something to do with Lisa. My eyes are puffy. They hurt, my heart hurts and I never met her in person.
Hope you are doing okay.
Karl,
I only know you through your blog. It’s obvious however that you are a true friend and a good companion. You have made us all better people by sharing Lisa’s life with us. Thank you.

While it hurts to let her go… I take solace in knowing she isn’t in pain anymore… and in a far better place than I.
