Guess I need to write more about the Top 9 reasons why I drink Smirnoff Ice while watching a political debate.

Britt – Yeah, I think I’m going to make that a priority in the near future. I’ll be broke as hell, but feel a lot better about myself.

I’m sorry you’re feeling depressed and that you’re not happy. But I’m glad you laughed yesterday. ((hugs))

And I totally feel you with the dentist. I’m overdue for an overhaul myself.

My parents could not afford dental insurance as there were 7 of us kids. And as luck would have it, my mother passed on the bad teeth gene to each and every one of us. We all had badly misshapen teeth.

It wasn’t until 7 years ago that we got some dental insurance and I had them redo my entire mouth. It cost me many hours in the dental chair and about $3,000. But I would do it all over again just for the fact that I’m not hiding my mouth any more.

Having bad teeth affected everything in my life. Those who have good teeth just don’t understand how having bad teeth affects how you talk to people, choose to be unseen, and even romantic relationships.

It took a lot of patience (along with a bottle of Vicodin) to get through all the restructuring of my teeth, but I’m glad I did it.

You can do it too. I know it’s going to be painful at times. But if it helps, I am allergic to Novocaine. I can only have Lydocaine. I found out after having to have my wisdom teeth pulled without anything to numb my mouth because the dentist forgot to order the Lydocaine. Yeah, that was fun. He did knock me out cold for it but the minute I came to, the pain was searingly intense.

If I can go through THAT, you can do anything.

Here’s hoping you have a day (after your dental work) where smiling is not something you have to think about because you don’t want people to see your teeth!

Le sigh I have surgery and braces in my future, well hopefully anyway.
