As the great philosopher Willy Wonka once said, “Scratch that. Reverse it.”
OK, the Great Quit Date has changed from this Friday to this coming Monday, August 18th. Britt and I agreed to quit together and I want to keep it that way.
She’s traveling to Nashville this weekend to fetch her kids so it’s just going to be too difficult for her to quit while making such a big road trip. We’ve moved the Starting Line - or in this case, the Quitting Line to midnight Monday. That’s as Sunday turns into Monday.
Here’s a new badge if you care to grab it for your site. Sorry for the inconvenience. We ARE quitting. Just a few days later, is all.

The right thing to do, for sure. I didn’t sense you were in the completely spring loaded start position yet anyway. And you gotta be there.

Catherine - Well, that’s the whole point, really. We’re doing it together to stay motivated. So it’s not a huge deal at all.

The buddy system rules!!! I’m wishing you guys all the best. Who else is quitting with you?

I’m all for the buddy system with weight loss, exercise, etc. Having someone going through the hell that you are, makes for a safe punching bag.

Good luck quitting! I’m rooting for you both.

Catherine - Thanks…looking forward to it. Well, not the actual QUITTING part, but the afterwards part…flash forward a month or so. I look forward to *that*.
Foo - I’m all about the buddies.
Sarah - Thanks, hon!

I know it’s going to be tough, but I’m proud of you both for doing this. Not only is it a good thing for your health, and the health of your kids (esp in Britt’s case), but those of us with asthma who have to walk through clouds of smoke to get to a restaurant or bar… we thank you in spades.

Winter - Thanks. Yeah, it’s a good thing all the way around. Less than 6 hours left! Ack!
