On My Way Back Home For a Few Days
As you probably know, I’m currently at Miss Britt’s house having a great time with her and her darling kids and husband and Becky. Seriously, been a blast. I’ll write about that tomorrow.
Got to see Adam for a while last night, too, since he came by and we all went out to dinner.
But now Becky is in bed, having to leave around 9:30 in the morning for her plane ride back home. And Britt and Jared just went to bed. And I suppose I should hit the sack, too, not because I have to leave early in the morning to drive back home, but because I guaranfuckingtee you that Emma (aka Mini-Britt) is going to come slap me in the forehead at 6:15 and say, “Wake up Kawoo. Wake up! The sun is up! Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease wake up, Kawoo!” If she wasn’t so fucking adorable I’d have to shoot her. Which is really why (in my opinion) God makes children so cute. Otherwise the human race would die out.
Fortunately for you, I’ve already written a guest post for today over at Marty’s place. It’s set to publish at midnight his time (I think that’s 3am here). He’s off getting married this weekend and asked me to fill in for him on Scooter Sunday. Always happy to do guest posts.
Especially now because I wrote it a couple of days ago and don’t need to think of anything else to say here today.
But don’t forget, today is another episode of SecondHand Radio and my special guest today is none other than Lisa from Clusterfook. If you don’t know Lisa, she’s the amazing gal that is fighting cancer for a THIRD time. She’s the woman I shaved my head for in solidarity. She’s funny and genuine and I hope you’ll listen in this afternoon.
Showtime: 5:00 pm Eastern, 2:00 pm Pacific

LMAO @ Emma aka Mini Britt. Funny how we can love and hate kids at the same time.

Emma also gets perplexed on why you would lock the bathroom door, too. It was good seeing you again last night.

LMAO@ “Mini-Britt” smacking you in the head. I’ve linked your show sugar.

Hey! That’s me with you and Lisa. I MUST listen tonight. Can you remind me? Oh, wait, I can sign up for a reminder. I’m off to do that!

So do we get to call you “Kawoo” from now on too? Cuz I kinda like the ring it has to it…

Will there be pics of Mini-Britt?

Winter – Oh, I love kids. Most kids, anyway. I’m not a fan of spoiled brats, but Britt’s kids don’t fall into that category. She whips them daily. Works well.
Avitable – I ALWAYS lock the bathroom door. Unless I’m the only one in the house.
Turnbaby – Thanks! I totally got lazy with today’s post and didn’t link to everyone else.
Shelli – Sure, don’t forget to listen to my show. It starts four hours ago.
DutchBitch – You can call me anything, baby.
Sandra – Oh, DEFINITELY. Just gotta upload them from my cam.

Yeah, I slept through it. I’m going to listen to it tomorrow in archives. Expect emails throughout.

Shelli – Should already be available for download.

i am so glad you made the drive to hang out with us, kawool. wouldn’t have been the same without cha!
i am still giggling about “wake up, kawool.” thank the sweet baby jesus, lying in a manger, that my room had a door. otherwise i might have had to know that the sun was up. next time you and i crash at britt’s house you can share my bed. i totally should have made that offer after your first early morning slap in the head. i’m sorry.

p.s. i wonder if britt’s son remembered that i told him no w-ing or j-ing it? hehe.
already looking forward to new york, kawool!

Hello – That’s probably a more accurate representation of her pronunciation: “kawool.” And if you’d let me share your bed, you’d probably be in love with me already. MORE in love, I mean.

And you did a great job on the post. And it looks like I’ll be returning the favor at the end of July.
