Oh hell

So it’s 6:30pm and I just woke up from my nap. Called the jury hotline and I have to appear in the morning at 8am! Ack!

So if you’re reading this it means I don’t have time to post anything else. Because I have to be up at an ungodly hour after driving three hours to my sister’s house.

But the hotline did say I could bring my cellphone. Weird.

Maybe the cellphone is to be used to call for bail money?

Have fun, just not that much fun!

Don’t fall asleep and start snoring in the court – I don’t think they like it when jurors do that – just a hunch ;o)
Bring back lots of juicy stories!!

Here is a little something from Overheard in New York that seems appropriate:

Man: Damn! I have jury duty today…
Random girl: Dude, that sucks. I’m sorry. But hey, it could be worse.
Man: Yeah, it could be worse, I could be on trial.

The cell phone is allowed because now they expect jurors to twitter their verdicts.

Bailif: how does the jury find the defendent?
    Juror #1: OMG!
    Juror #2: WTF?!?!?
    Juror #3: utterz: (link)
Juror #4: new blog post: Soooo guilty!
    Juror #5: U R so screwed dude

At least you can stay with your sister. Better than getting up at 3 a.m. and driving the whole way. hehe.

Hopefully you won’t be picked to serve…unless it’s a really juicy case and you’re into that sort of thing.

    Thanks for the button!
