Stores and Radio and Stuff
First off, I want to let you know that the official SecondHand Tryptogear store is open at Zazzle. You can buy all sorts of 2HT stuff: t-shirts, mugs, magnets, mousepads, and hookers. OK, I’m still waiting on approval for the hookers. But I redesigned the “Introverts Unite!” shirt and I’m still adding stuff…different designs. You can pretty much customize everything, so if you want a different colored shirt, different colored text, whatever, it’s doable.
If you have other products you’d like to see, let me know and I’ll see about making it happen.
Oh, and if you buy any of the shirts, take a picture of yourself wearing the amazingly fashionable item and send it to me. I’ll put it up on the Store page.
Next, I want to announce the next month of episodes for SecondHand Radio.
Next Sunday, June 1, will be Jester of Jestertunes.
Also, just so you know, I’ll be on Jester’s show this Wednesday night at midnight (Eastern time), 9pm Pacific. It’s a 2-hour show and if you haven’t been listening to his show, you’re missing out on a major good time.
Sunday, June 8: Hello Haha Narf of Midnight Cliff.
Sunday, June 15 (Father’s Day): The Alive Campaign, including my daughter, Alyson.
Sunday, June 22: Lisa from Clusterfook.
Sunday, June 29: BrittCon in NYC. If I do a show that day, it’ll likely include Miss Britt, Hilly, Hello Haha Narf, Cissa Fireheart, and anyone else there. We’ll see.
That’s all I have scheduled right now, though I have other people in the works. I’ll keep you posted as dates get confirmed.
Now go forth and buy 2HT stuff!
Oh, wait. I forgot something.
I got an award yesterday from Liz over at Everyday Goddess.
It’s called the I Love You THIS much award. I’m supposed to now list 10 blogs that I love, well, THAT much. So here goes. And I’m not listing Liz because she gave me the award and that would be too obvious. And as Liz Did, I’m keeping the focus on personal blogs. And I read a lot of blogs, so don’t freak if you’re not on here. I’m trying to also list bloggers that post on a regular basis.
- Snackie’s World – Speaking of too obvious. I love Hilary because she’s smart and funny and can curse better than me. And I’ve known her for a long time now, over seven years, I think.
- Xriva’s Xanga – Really original name there. That’s my old buddy, Kevin, the guy who got me hooked on Guinness. He’s witty and loves coffee, too.
- Within You, Without You – I’ve known James for nearly as long as I’ve known Hilary, but we haven’t met yet. He’s one of the smartest people I know, he’s funny as hell, and deep. Sometimes simultaneously. He’s a great photographer and digital artist, too, and also plays around a lot with music. Shit, he’s making me look bad. Never mind, don’t go visit his site. He changes titles and blogs as often as I change my underwear. Every six months.
- Blogography – I met Dave online a couple of years ago, thanks to the “Lost Blogs” project. (Search for it on my site, you’ll find what I’m talking about.) He’s witty and charming and an amazing graphic artist. In fact, he designed that cool new SecondHand Radio graphic in this post. He’s a seasoned world traveler and if you ever get a chance to hang with Dave, take it. Put the baby in with the bathwater if you must…OK, I have no idea where I was going with that.
- Miss Britt – OK, again with the obvious. Still, I only relatively recently discovered Miss Britt and I’ve had the good fortune to hang with her a couple of times now. And again we’ll hang out for BrittConn in NYC next month. Britt is hella smart, she cracks my shit up, and yet she’s the most real and genuine person. Amazing lady, even if she’s not into the butt sects. On a more serious note, she’s driving up to Iowa right now because a tornado devastated her hometown. Relatives have lost their homes and shit. Drop by and give her some love.
- Avitable – I’ve known Adam for as long as I’ve known Britt, a small amount of time compared to some other blogs I read. Adam and Britt go together like Hilly and I, and I like that. He’s one of the most crass, tasteless, and yet hilarious dudes I read. It’s odd, because in “real life” Adam is one of the kindest, most gentlemanly guys I know. Which makes his blog all the funnier. I don’t know how I stayed away from his blog for as long as I did.
- View From the Cloud - Jeff is an old rock star. Well, he was in a band in the 80’s, and I am a child of the 80’s for sure. He’s hysterical and a great dad. And he lives up on a cloud or something. Up north. I can’t remember how I discovered Jeff’s blog, actually. I used to be able to tell you how I met EVERYONE on my blogroll, but now it’s too big. (See associated “That’s What Karl Said” t-shirts now available above.)
- Out of My Tree – I love Bec. She’s real and she’s funny. I think I’ve known her for a couple of years now, but we also haven’t met in person yet. One of these days, I’ve going to get my ass on a plane and head back for the United Kingdom, even if that damn country is the reason why I can’t donate blood any more. I haven’t been there since I packed up my house and left in 1992, but they’re STILL worried about the damn mad cow disease. Anyway, this is all to say that I do plan on getting back to England some day and I’m totally going to put the moves on Bec. She wrote a post a couple of days ago about how horny she is and if I’m anything it’s accommodating.
- The Dutch Files – OK, Dutchy is another gal who is gorgeous and consistently makes me laugh. That is way hot, the ability to make me laugh. I’ve known her for a couple of years, too, though again we haven’t yet met. Still, it’s very nice to know that I’ll have a place to stay when I next visit Heaven – I mean, Stonerville – I mean, the Netherlands. Seriously, last time I was in Amsterdam I couldn’t, um, partake. I was in the Air Force (random testing and all that jazz). This time I am a free man. And even though she thinks she’s in love with another man, I’ll totally give Dutchy a shot at ecstasy.
- Karen Sugarpants – I love, love, love me some Karen. And not just because she designed this site, either. She was almost the only person at BlogHer ‘06 that knew who the hell I was before I handed her a business card. And I’d actually heard of her, too, back when she was doing a blog called Trollbaby. Intelligent, snarky, and real, you never know what you’ll find at Karen’s blog (much like mine). Some days it’s hilarious, some days it’s heart-wrenching, some days it’s about her amazing new fitness kick, where she’s running marathons and shit. Hell, SHE’S making me look bad, too. Never mind, skip her blog. :p
- PocketCT – I love Christine, too, and not just because she put up with me pleasuring myself (to an extent) in front of her. Or putting up with me peeing on the floor. Or walking around the room naked. She’s amazingly personable and a very good writer who can always get me to crack a smile. And that’s not easy. She’s now a dancing addict, which I don’t really get. I mean, I have a number of addictions, but that’s not one of them.
OK, there’s 11. Sue me. And a special shout-out to Cindy, my longest Net relationship buddy (known her for 14 years now!) who has joined the blogiverse! She lives in Halifax and I’ve visited her twice now. Looooove me some Halifax. And some Cindy. She took up spinning (as in stationery biking) a while back and is now sharing her amazing taste in music via her playlists. Do me a favor and go over there and show her some comment loving, will you?

So true what you say about Avitable. I think the exact same. Love the store stuff. Maybe I’ll need a t-shirt if I ever do another video for you. Of course, it’s not exactly an introvert-like thing to do. Oh well.

Thanks for the shout-out Karl! I humbled to be included in a list with such legendary bloggers. Of course I am a legend in my own mind, so it’s probably fitting.

I am assuming you didn’t list me because I am your VERY favorite.
I need to get on the ball with my Zazzle store. I am way behind on updating it.

BBM – so true, I’m thinking about another Summer of Love. Gotta get my shit together.
Mr. Fab – precisely why I didn’t list you.

Is this, “Oh, and if you buy any of the shirts, take a picture of yourself wearing the amazingly fashionable item and send it to me. I’ll put it up on the Store page” actually code for:
“GREAT excuse to get boobie pics? It’s okay that they’re covered… Boobs are boobs!” ?
Just wondering.

Amber – would I ever pull such a ruse? Um, never mind, don’t answer that.

I hope those shirts come in small. I hate when shirts don’t, and I have to use them for a nightgown!
Also, you’re up there live again and it always takes me by surprise! Hi!

I’ve gotten positive responses from wearing Blogography products. Wearing 2HT items should be just as good. Any testimonials?

Mate, I do apologize, I never did “model” the “Introverts Unite” t-shirt that I won did I? So how much do I suck? Now, I just moved into my new house and things are still in boxes and my place is quite the catastrafuck at the moment. When I find said t-shirt, I’ll put ‘er on and take a pic.

Kevin – No problem, whenever you can get to it. Naturally, it ought to be your #1 priority, but hey, that’s just me.
